Smart Rack Monitor (SRM)

There are sixty seven (67) SRM's being used to control the Linac. Some control the Low Energy stations, while others control water and Klystrons for the High Energy end. They are also being use to control the two Ion Sources.

The SRM's use arcnet to communicate with the VME systems. Each VME system collect data from 3 to 5 SRM's. The VME system does the alarm scan, close loop control, and communicates over token ring to consoles. More information can be obtained by clicking on one of the titles below.
